Woodland Creature Necklace

Materials
       +chain
       +small jewelry pliers
+small screws with eyes like this
       +super glue
+small plastic animal (can be found at dollar store, or in most toy departments)
+paint (any color of your choice)

To assemble the necklace
+paint your animal. you cant really tell from the pictures, but i added glitter to my paint for a little more glitz.
+after the paint is dried, put a dab of super glue on the end of the screw and twist it into the animal.
+Put the chain through the eye of the screw and then use jewelry pliers to re-attach the ends of the chain together.

And there you have it... a fairly simple and really inexpensive idea for a gift or for yourself to add a little interest to your ensemble. It would be a fun project to do with a group of girls at a party, youth group, or just for fun!

Ice & Views

Today was Kenley's birthday! It ended up being kind of a strange day with a few misfortunes and surprises, but we ended the day at Sheri's with the grandparents and We Ice for dessert. For all the Tri- City folk, follow them on Instagram (@we_ice) to see where they are parked.

It was THE best shaved ice I've ever had. Definitely worth the trip.

On a different note, I've been really enjoying all of the beautiful Tri-City views lately.

Emma

As a babysitter, it is really easy to just stick a movie on, and leave the child to vedge. (guilty) But, I convinced (begged) Emma to do a photo shoot while there was still some daylight. Sadly, it ended with a bee sting and lots of tears.

I love snuggling in her bed and looking at pictures of 'cute kittens' on Pinterest, eating popsicles on the hammock, and doing makeovers. I will seriously miss this chickadee when I go back to school in Fall.
